While rights in the US are being removed, Mexico is exhibiting great open-mindedness, and allowing a poly marriage. That’s a marriage between THREE people who are in a relationship.
The judge ruled that the articles of the civil code were in fact discriminatory because they stated that marriage or partnership could only exist between two people and that they didn’t take into account the possibility of other “sexual orientations like polyamory.”
The judge went on to say that authorities have the obligation to promote, respect, protect, and guarantee human rights in accordance with the principles of universality, interdependence, indivisibility and progressiveness. The judge said that he could find no constitutional reason why marriage should only be between two partners.
I’ve always said: “sanity does, eventually, prevail.”
